What do you find exciting about your job?
We help to define the processes ourselves and work on making everything as efficient as possible. This will enable us to handle even more projects in the future.
How do you know you’re doing a good job?
At Sabik Offshore, I’ve found what I’ve always been looking for: a certain degree of freedom, my own area of responsibility. I can communicate well, and I am well organized. I am handed projects and have the responsibility to see them through.
What drives you?
I can make a difference, I am heard, I can contribute my ideas and move things.
What sets Sabik Offshore apart from other companies?
As my department is quite new, we don’t yet have any standardized processes. We are developing these as we go. We have many projects at the same time and want to be able to track the status of each project. We are developing group-wide tools for this. This is because many employees are based in different countries and all need the same information.
I have worked in many other areas such as aircraft and medical technology. The product may change, but the procedures for organizing the processes efficiently are similar.
And that’s where I have a lot of experience. The controlling, planning, project coordination, and that is what I can bring to the table.
I used to work in companies where you were just a small cog in the wheel, you didn’t understand the whole process, there was no connection.
Here, you play an important part in the whole process. I find that refreshing. As I have gotten to know Sabik Offshore, there is open communication and no hierarchical political games. You get to know the whole company very well. It’s always important to me that I understand why I’m doing my job and what my role is in the overall organization.
