What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy everything. My work is varied, and that’s what excites me. I’m not limited in my work; I get to contribute, test, and produce in different areas. I’m involved in everything and am ready for anythig.
Is there anything you especially look forward to every workday?
I’ve enjoyed it here from the very beginning. After my job interview, I knew right away that I wanted to work at Sabik Offshore. When they called me and offered me the job, I was overjoyed.
I enjoy spending time with my coworkers. We’re a great team. This sense of community and togetherness makes for wonderful daily interactions, and it feels good to be made to feel welcome. It’s not someting to be taken fro granted – that someone notices you and greets you warmly.
Can you remember a moment when you felt really proud to be part of the team?
A while back, I was seriously ill and in the hospital. I was there on my birthday. My family came to see me. And then my colleague Martin walked in with a huge bouquet of flowers. My colleagues had been thinking of me. It brought tears to my eyes. I’d only been there for a year, and that gesture meant so much to me – I’ll always carry it in my heart. That’s a moment that connects me to this company. I didn’t know what would become of me. They encouraged me and shared my hope that I would get well. It was a special day. I never expected something like that to happen.
